Joe Rusi is a Norwegian award-winning, Grammy (Spellemann)–nominated guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose blend of blues, soul, and roots has made him a distinctive voice in Scandinavian music. A professional musician since the age of fifteen, he has performed on festival stages and in clubs across Norway and toured in the U.S. and Canada. Since 2013 he has hosted “Blues with Rusi” on Radio Kvinesdal and leads the music section at Lundheim Folkehøyskole

A recipient of Berklee College of Music’s prestigious Celebrity Scholarship — awarded by a panel including Steve Vai, Paul Simon, Herbie Hancock, and Mark Mothersbaugh — he holds a Master’s Certificate in Songwriting and Guitar. His album Who I Am, recorded in New Orleans with George Porter Jr., Johnny Vidacovich, and others, was nominated for a Spellemann (The Norwegian Grammy) in 2016, while À Tout Le Monde From… (2017) reached the IBBA Top 40 and earned international praise. Now Joe Rusi returns with Spaces, an album recorded live in the studio to capture the raw interplay and immediacy of a live band. Blending blues grit with retro-soul warmth, Spaces reflects Joe’s unpolished and emotional sound — honest lyrics, organic tone, and a genuine musical presence that connects deeply with the listener
